TRUSTEES

There are 6 trustees, whose responsibilities are clearly defined by the Charities commission  which include complying with all the legal requirements, to promote the charity,  its aims and interests, to visit the projects and contacts in Tanzania supported by TVT, and to ensure that the work of the charity is conducted on sound christian principles.  Trustees are responsible for raising funds and their distribution with Agape International  in Tanzania.

NADINE HAWKINS  Founder of the charity.  Nadine has had an interest in mission from an early age. Career was as a qualified SRN.  Is involved in  community activities inside and outside of the church, in particular with pastoral care.  Other activities are and have been,  street evangelism, girl guide movement and interdenominational activities.  Nadine is a school governor at Long Whatton, and is a licensed reader in the benefice of Kegworth & Hathern team ministry in Leicestershire.  

KEITH HAWKINS   Keith is an experienced agricultural technician, and has worked in farming for over 50 years.  He is also knowledgeable in animal husbandry.  Keith is a skilled and inventive wood worker, particularly making toys and practical articles for home and garden..    Hobbies include photography and gardening.  

CECILIA HARRIS   Celia is a retired primary school teacher, and is a reader in the benefice of Kegworth & Hathern team ministry, Leicestershire.    Cecilia is a campanologist, and enjoys teaching hand bell ringing.   Is the leading  member of the Mothers Union at Hathern, Long Whatton & Diseworth.  Organises childrens activities at Hathern church, and is involved with pastoral care  locally.

JOHN PRESTON   John is webmaster for this site  and became a trustee in 2011.

LYNDA PRESTON Lynda is a professional musician (ALCM, performers), teaching and accompanying students.  Lynda is involved with and became a  trustee in 2011.

MARTIN LESTER  Martin is a  technician at an engineering firm in Leicester.  Martin is a keen sportsman particularly rugby.   Martin is vice chairman of the Hamilton residents association, and is a fund raiser for TVT.  Martin and his family are involved with Hamilton C of E  school and  regularly attend the christian services held at the school and are involved in all school activities.
